Partial Volume Tape-Row Maintenance FAQ
What is the difference between a partial volume install and a full set?
A partial install uses rows placed through the crown and sides to add fullness and length in targeted areas, rather than covering the entire head. Maintenance focuses on those specific rows instead of a full head of tape.
Will my natural hair show through between rows?
That is exactly what Sandy checks and corrects at each maintenance visit. Rows that have shifted or thinned in coverage are repositioned so the part and crown still look full.
How do I know my volume rows need maintenance?
Look for rows that feel looser than the rest of your hair, sit lower than your part, or have started to show a visible line where natural hair meets extension hair.
Can partial volume rows be added to or reduced over time?
Yes. Sandy can adjust how many rows are placed at a maintenance visit if you want more volume for an event or want to scale back to something lower maintenance.
Does this service include a cut or style?
A quick blend to smooth the transition between your hair and the rows is part of the service. A full cut or style is a separate service and can be booked alongside it.
What should I do if a row feels loose between appointments?
Call the salon rather than waiting for your next scheduled visit. A loose row caught early is a quick fix, but left alone it can pull on the hair around it.
